Get the full picture.
Go through what’s already out there, what’s been said, and what we can support with the facts. Understand what still needs an answer and anything else we should be ready for.

I want to help build a league people are excited to play in, coach in, watch and support. More opportunities for players. More personalities for fans to get behind. More people finding their way into the game.
That means getting the communications right across the business and giving people a reason to pay attention to what we’re building.

I’d be someone Michael can work through decisions with and lean on across the business. Sometimes that means talking through how something will land. Sometimes it means getting the right people on the phone. And sometimes it’s just rolling up our sleeves and getting it done.
I’d take ownership of incoming questions, prepare Michael for the conversations ahead, and keep players, coaches and partners informed.
Go through what’s already out there, what’s been said, and what we can support with the facts. Understand what still needs an answer and anything else we should be ready for.
Find out what players, coaches and partners are actually hearing. Make sure the people already involved hear directly from us and know who they can come to.
Answer legitimate questions clearly. Correct inaccuracies we can document. Own what needs to improve. Prepare Michael for interviews and bring in counsel on legal questions.
Keep the website and announcements current. Follow up when we say we will. Start showing the real people, signed commitments and confirmed milestones behind the league.
We should be ready to answer the hard questions without letting every comment set the agenda. Handle what matters, then keep giving people real reasons to be interested in the league.
There’s a media cycle happening, and the jokes are part of it. A sponsor publicly reviewing its agreement is a more serious signal. I’d get on the phone with that partner, understand what they need answered and make sure they hear directly from us.
Sex Tape Lax says it is reviewing the implications for its sponsorship agreement. That needs a direct conversation with the partner, clear answers to its concerns and follow-through from us.
| The question | What I’d do |
|---|---|
| What do our partners need answered? | Speak directly with the sponsor, confirm its concerns and agree on the next follow-up. Reach out to other partners before they have to ask us what’s happening. Keep those conversations grounded in facts we can support. |
| Who is funding the league? | Confirm the investors and exact legal entities against the underlying records. Get direct confirmation from the people involved and agreement on how their role can be described publicly. |
| What funding is actually in place? | Separate signed commitments from money received and future fundraising discussions. Have the people responsible for finance and counsel confirm what we can substantiate and disclose. |
| What needs to be corrected? | Compare the interview, Poseidon’s original statement and Alpha’s response. If something we said was wrong, correct it where it appeared. If a report is inaccurate, send the outlet the specific correction and supporting information. |
I’d want Michael going into the next conversation prepared, with the facts in hand and a plan to follow through. Then we can spend more time showing people what we’re building.
Factual coverage gets a factual response. A joke doesn’t need an argument. If a post raises a new substantive question, we check it and decide whether it needs an answer.
People should know who’s playing, who’s coaching and why they want to be here.
Experienced names people recognize. Emerging talent looking for a shot. Guys balancing work and lacrosse because they still love playing. There’s a lot here that fans can connect with.
Get them talking about the game, their teams and the opportunity in front of their players. Give people a chance to hear from the personalities helping build this.
Put my network to work across clubs, coaches and players. Promote the combines, make it easy to get involved, and build relationships in each market.
Relevant podcasts, lacrosse media, local press and creators. Go in prepared with a clear story, good people to feature and something real to share.
I’d help think through the decisions, the way we communicate them, and how they connect to the bigger picture of building the league.
Be a sounding board on announcements, changes, partnerships and issues that affect how people understand Alpha.
Keep players, coaches, teams and partners informed so we’re communicating clearly with the people doing the work.
Lead the marketing, media, content and brand work that brings new people into the story.
Work with the people already in place, organize what needs to happen and bring Michael decisions with a recommendation.
I’d lead communications, brand, content and audience growth, working with the people already in place.
Sharpen the website, branding and social presence. Get the core information current. Build a calendar, a clear communications process and a realistic plan for producing the work.
Get player and coach interviews going. Capture the combines. Build recurring content people recognize. Line up the right press and podcast opportunities and prepare everyone going into them.
Build local relationships, grow the email list and give each team tools to promote what’s happening. Make it easier for players, fans and potential partners to understand where they fit.
Coordinate campaigns around the confirmed schedule. Support ticket demand and partner activations. Work with the operations team on ideas that make the experience memorable, then learn from the people who come.
I keep coming back to building something with its own personality. Great lacrosse, recognizable players, emerging talent and a fun experience. Something you’d bring a friend to, even if they don’t know the game yet.
Timing follows confirmed league milestones and available resources.
Set targets after reviewing the baseline and the resources available.
I’ve built my lacrosse network across the U.S. by being part of the game: playing, coaching, running teams and bringing people together. Those relationships are especially strong on the East Coast and West Coast.
I grew up playing on Long Island, played at Northeastern and Imperial College London, and kept finding ways to stay involved. The network grew because I kept showing up.
Growing up in Long Island lacrosse and playing at Northeastern connected me with players and coaches I’ve stayed in touch with as our lives and careers have taken us to different places.
I’ve run Chiefs with Howard Alperin since 2018 and help keep the weekly El Segundo game going. Organizing teams, staying in touch with players and making sure there’s a place to play builds relationships over time.
Three years coaching at CSULB, including our first SLC championship in 2026, and now leading Millikan. Clinics with Compton High School, Harlem Lacrosse and EZF have connected me with more people doing the work to grow the game.
For Alpha, I’d use that network to make introductions, get honest feedback, bring people into the conversation and help promote the combines. I know people who care about this game, and I know how to get them involved.
First employee and SVP at Old Pal. Helped with the launch of Houseplant. VP at High Times. I bring the brand-building experience alongside the lacrosse relationships, and I’m comfortable being out front or behind the scenes making things happen.
Access to the relevant materials, accounts and conversations so I can help.
A direct process with Michael, bringing in the board or counsel when needed.
Ownership of marketing and communications, working with the team already in place.
Agree on the role, compensation and resources, plus coverage while I’m away.
